About the Operator

The Signature Service story changed my life in 1997 in Perry, Georgia, while operating Chick-fil-A at Sam Nunn Boulevard FSR. When working in a small town, you really get to know everyone, and sometimes you have the pleasure of meeting and exceeding their expectations.  

I had the unexpected opportunity to get to know “Aunt Dot” Gentry. She would eat with me at 5:00 p.m. every Thursday. Aunt Dot loved to reminisce about the days of eating at the Dwarf House when she worked for the State of Georgia. She loved to tell those stories as she enjoyed the original Chick-fil-A sandwich with fries, coleslaw, and a slice of lemon pie. I would meet her every Thursday for three more years.  

Her nephew, Phil, told me one day, “Aunt Dot loves Chick-fil-A, but she especially likes eating with YOU.” He said that she wouldn’t tell him she was eating at Chick-fil-A but that she was going to eat at Doug’s. That statement made the corporate purpose come to life for me.  

Here we are in my 25th year as an operator and 16th year as a multi-unit franchisee. These communities have entrusted me to provide a place of restoration for our guests and be an influencer in each one – a role that Chick-fil-A, the Cathy family, and God have given me to serve others with Signature Service.

Our team has provided consistent Signature Service on a daily basis for all of our guests, including those who reside and/or work in Senoia, Fayetteville, Peachtree City, Brooks, Woolsey, Turin, Williamson, Greenville and Griffin.  For the last 20 years, these particular guests began traveling on GA Hwy 85 to our Fayetteville Towne Center location, and then five years later, a little closer to Starr’s Mill.  It is truly our pleasure to now have the opportunity of continuing this same Signature Service.
